CASA of NH Seeks Volunteers

CASA seeks volunteers in Northern Grafton and Southern Coos Counties to speak for the best interests of abused and neglected children in court. CASA/GAL volunteers are trained community volunteers appointed by a District or Family Court Judge.

CASA Volunteers work as an official part of the judicial proceedings alongside attorneys and social workers. CASA of NH serves about 1,000 children on any given day. Unfortunately, the organization must turn down 25-30% of the cases brought to court because of a lack of available volunteers.

Direct supervision and guidance is provided by supervisors. Volunteers are given 40 hours of pre-service training and at least 12 hours of ongoing training annually. Volunteers must have the ability to transport themselves, have a high school diploma or GED and be 21 years of age. For more information, visit us at www.casanh.org or contact Krista, Northern New Hampshire Recruitment Coordinator at KLampe@casanh.org or by calling 536-1663.
